| It was logical that Saiedeh and Yasmine would get into the costume
business. Yasmine is 6' tall, she started sewing her own skirts and harem pants due to
length problems on the ready made items she found for sale. Saiedeh is Queen-size, like
Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, when it came to vendors, there was nothing in the "little
black bag" for her! In desperation, the two of them bit the bullet and started sewing
their own costumes...over time they began sewing for their students and then making and
selling costumes on eBay. They found that people were showing sincere interest in their
simple designs, nice fabrics, and reasonable prices. Now, it has become an
important part of their business. They had their first vending booth at Festival
Fantasia in Sebastapol in 2001 and were a big hit! They nearly sold out all of their inventory!
They love this aspect of the business & now have a shop in the SIS Studio. There is such a need for the size-challenged dancer.
These students and professional dancers need nice looking, nice fitting costumes too! |

| Many of our items are custom made to order by Salina, who is SIS's fantastic seamstress. We
really want to work with you to make beautiful, functional and affordable costume
pieces which you will be pleased to use for years. If you would like to have us help you design
